Birthday parties with furry friends…

Birthday parties aren’t just for humans…

It was my dog Brown’s birthday (the one wearing the hat very well). I figured he deserved some cake on his big day. I found an all natural home made carrot cake recipe online and invited a few furry friends over to part take in the festivities. Some might call this crazy, but I love crazy and wouldn’t want my mind to think any other way.  Plus I know I’m not the only one out there as I watched others secretly enjoying the moment.

To me dogs are like us who just want to have fun too.

Approaching change…

“You are what you make of things, you can make the best of things, or you let them get the best of you, the choice is yours”

I was told the only thing constant in life is change. As much as change can be overwhelming and different, think about where it will take you. To remove yourself from something that is totally comfortable for you can be hard. Change requires trust and that I practice everyday.

Change doesn’t only affect you when you make a choice, it affects others as well, that is if we choose to let it affect us. What if we saw something beneficial with their change that could inspire new change amongst ourselves? What would you discover and what would it teach you? Would you let go and embrace it?

One thing that I do is to step back and fully listen as to why change needs to be present. When I feel change is necessary, I feel it in my gut and within my body. I see that what I am doing no longer fits me anymore. It becomes this circle or dance that feels exhausting.  I lose track of who I really am and bits and pieces are being taken away from me. I feel heavy when I should feel light.

It doesn’t matter if people don’t understand what you are doing or if they don’t understand you, what matters is if you understand you. It is only our fear that blocks the releasing of the old that resists the change.  So let go of the old and embrace the new, which is change. There are many things waiting out there for you, you just have to tap into them and trust that it is going to be great.  The journey is yours.

Baltic Amber: “Sunshine, light, energy”

Baltic amber is fossilized resin from ancient pine trees formed over 45 million years ago. The resin creates a sense of warmth when touched to the skin. This releases it’s natural oils (called succinite) allowing the body to rebalance and heal itself. (acts as a natural pain reliever). It aids the abdomen, bladder, blood, eyes, kidneys, stomach, tissue revitalization, throat, liver, joint problems. It absorbs pain and negative energy while drawing out disease within.  When rubbed it produces an electric charge and when placed in salt water it will float.

Baltic amber is only found in Northern Europe ( from southern regions of the present day Scandinavia and nearby regions of the bed of the Baltic Sea) and accounts for about 80% of known amber in the world.  It is considered to be the best variety of amber.

*Baltic amber necklaces and bracelets are often used as an natural alternative to help with babies who are teething. It provides natural pain relief and soothing analgesic support.*
